Welcome to the Indonesian Festival 2011The festival will be held
@ The Washington Monument Grounds on July 9, 2011 - 05-07 PM,
will be our first big festival in Washington, D.C. area. The festival will not only showcase various Indonesia's music, dance, martial arts and food, but also American music. And indeed, our big theme of the festival is "Celebrating Multiculturalism"! Their performance together will portray a harmony and understanding among a diverse cultural tradition which will bring people from different culture closer in a wonderful friendship.
In this festival we are planning to invite thousands people to come and join us to break a world record of " The Largest Angklung Ensemble ". You might never heard the word angklung before, but we can assure you that playing angklung instrument together is a fun thing to do and can also say that it is easy to play. It is a music instrument made of bamboo and each is specially crafted to create a certain note. To create a sound out of angklung, all you have to do is shake it from side to side.
We encourage each one of you to join this wonderful opportunity to break world record.
You can register your participation through this website http://www.embassyofindonesia.org/indonesianfestival/welcome.htm. We look forward to seeing you all to celebrate our diversity in Indonesian Festival 2011 and to break a world record of 'the Largest Angklung Ensemble'!
Thank you !
