Feel the world beat in the heart of America!
The volunteers of the non-profit Ethnic Enrichment Commission of Kansas City has brought to you one of the largest gatherings of multiculturalism - focusing on the traditional cultures found here in our home, Kansas City and its surrounding metro area - the ETHNIC ENRICHMENT FESTIVAL (aka Ethnic Festival or Eth Fest).
This year we are particularly proud to present three headlining countries: Philippines, Samoa, and Croatia. They are performing at the MAIN STAGE on SATURDAY at 7:45pm, 8:30pm, and 9:15pm, respectively. Additionally, an indie, multicultural, and bilingual band, called "Hide in the Shadows" will be featured at the YOUTH TENT on FRIDAY & SATURDAY at 6:30pm!
Sunday August 23, 2015 @ 11:30 – INDONESIA (Gamelan Genta Kasturi)
Enjoy a show with a mango lasse from Pakistan or India, or refresh yourself with a freshly squeezed lemonade from Scotland. Maybe you're really hungry for a huge turkey leg from Ireland. There are snowcones at hawaii if you want to cool down from the spicy Laotian curry. No matter what, a step on the festival grounds, is a step into a whole other planet - JOKING - we all live here on this one earth under one sky, and best of all, we all live in the best part of the United States of America. The world has much love to give and we are here to share it.

* * * SAVE THE UM GAMELAN! * * *
February 15, 2014 may be your last chance to see and hear the full set of beautiful bronze instruments of the Javanese court gamelan orchestra that for nearly fifty years has entertained and exposed students, faculty and the Ann Arbor community to one of the world’s great music and dance traditions.
In March 2014, the gamelan will be removed from its dedicated space, and the majority of its instruments placed in storage ..............
