Indonesian Embassy Opens Condolence Book, in Mourning of
Former President Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur )
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Washington, D.C. will open a
condolences book for members of the public who wish to write condolences
following the death of former Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid, who
passed away on December 30, 2009, at the age of 69. Abdurrahman Wahid, known
as Gus Dur, served as President of Indonesia from 1999 to 2001.
A book of condolences is available for signature at the Indonesian Embassy,
2020 Massachusetts Ave. NW, Washington, D.C. 20036, scheduled as follows:
- December 30, 2009 : 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm
- December 31, 2009 : 10.00 am - 2.00 pm
- January 4-7, 2010 : 10.00 am - 4.00 pm
